Meditative Drawing

I find the process of studying even the simplest natural object and allowing the form of that object to emerge from the white page using only line to be a meditative act. Every crevice and shadow tells the story of its existence, where it has been chewed by an insect, how desiccation has curled its form, its very own natural history. Every little fragment is fascinating.
